The Science Museum of Virginia features permanent exhibitions such as Computer Bits & Pieces, Electriworks, Exploring Deep Ocean Space and Virginia tech solar house. In addition, wide angle, 70mm films on a wide variety of topics are presented inside the dome of the Ethyl Corporation IMAXDOME using the IMAX projection system. Interestingly enough, this museum has a theatre program named Carpenter Science Theatre Company who gives live performances in the Eureka! Theatre. Special educational programs and workshops are also available.
